Nah I'm only scared of snakes

WintaTheAngle · 41-45, M
Anything with too many legs or not enough is a real issue.

I feel like everyone has degrees of fear. Even people who handle spiders, their hearts usually race when dealing with a particularly venomous spider

Spiders eat other bugs. When I see one inside my home, my only thought is that he or she is eating something. Which, of course, grosses me out. I wonder what bugs besides the spiders are getting in here.

I did see one the other day. It seemed huge, because it was behind the bedroom curtains, and the light was projecting its shadow much larger than the actual spider. I wanted to draw the curtains back, so I did, and I just hoped it didn't crawl into my blankets.

I don't find spiders scary, but I do have a healthy respect for them. We used to have venomous black widows living near the water spigot in front of the house. I caught one to show my kids so they would know what they look like and how to identify and avoid them. We had quite a few tarantulas in the neighborhood and they were always impressive when crossing the road. You could see them from quite a distance.

Not too bothered, but would rather they didn't make their webs at face level with invisible silk.
Most spiders are delicate and quite beautiful.

A bit, mostly because I don't know enough about them to know which can be dangerous.

I don't like the cat chasing them. The last pair were in a basin. I simply emptied them out into the garden where they scmpered off.
Perhaps a tarantula, but not the standard ones. But I’m allergic to bites, so in that sense I’m cautious.

{@woofwoof15] 😆far from it they are more scared of you than you are of them . i am both bothered when there is a wasp around me than an spider

Only if they're poisonous

Too much. I won’t be able to sleep or keep in an area that I’ve found a spider in, even if I’ve killed it… but especially if it got away.

I think my fear started when I saw images of the effects of a brown recluse spider. They’re found in the state where I live so I’m just traumatized at the possible encounter. Can’t garden comfortably or pick up old shit without jumping at a slight tickle.

I generally do not like being surprised by anything, whether a large spider or black widow, or a snake

Like if I am on a riding lawn mower trying to mow closely to and going around a dense leland cypress tree and the next thing I know there is a large but relatively harmless golden orb weaver right in my face, I F-CKING HATE THAT 🤣
And I'm not crazy about walking through an unseen web either (wtf was IN the web?!?!?)

On the other hand, when I have advance notice that I am approaching a spider, like on a walk in a nature setting, if it is something unusual like a "wolf spider" (don't even ask me how many different things go by this moniker) with a bunch of babies on its back, then I may stand over it and look more closely for a bit then continue on walking past it

Naw I like killing them though
