Now that gas is so expensive, are you starting to stay home more?

or not drive as much as you used to.

Since all the "pandemic" stuff, didn't go to nearly as many places as I once did anyway.
No real changes here. I still get to work so I can buy things... like gas. Ahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

Yes. A friend of mine used up half a tank of my freshly filled tank of gas when I loaned him my car last time, and I know he will be asking to borrow my car again, soon. I am hoping he fills the tank for me.

Got a bike.

No. I love driving so it's not changing how much I drive. I don't smoke, drink or buy unnecessary cr*p so can still afford petrol 🚗❤️🎶🎵

I'm still riding a bike to get places as I don't have a drivers license or a car.
Nuuuuuuuuuuu 😂

Planning shortest route for all necessary trips. Always was a homebody, otherwise

Doesnt bother me at all as I am no longer able to drive .I miss it but looking at cost of owning a vehicle these days wont miss worrying about having enough to pay for it .
Shaveit · 61-69, M
@Rhode57 But someone has to drive
Rhode57 · 56-60, M
@Shaveit Yer but I rarely use taxis . I use buses now and again but all in all it wont cost me even a quarter of what it would to run a car for a year the amount of times I might use a taxi or buses for a year .

@Rhode57 Good point since gas is only one cost... insurance is getting ridiculous and license plate fees, drivers license fees, etc... It all adds up! That isn't including any repairs and upkeep of the vehicle.
Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
I'm planning to start running to work because I spent most of my cash on gas and then the insurance.

The rest went to taxes. I'm left with no change for the bus. So running it is.
SubstantialKick · 31-35, M
My car is good on gas so I haven't been doing anything different.
Deleted the auto trader app and downloaded horse trader instead

And here I am doing my driving course.. 😂 I'm not sure if I'm lucky to be in the last group who pays less than 1000 € or if this is just a bad idea overall because I won't drive anything anytime soon.
Justme22 · M
I drive about the same amount. But when I do I point and laugh at all the big ass trucks and SUVs when I am waiting for gas.
cycleman · 61-69, M
Back in the 80's gas was too expensive, thus cycling and burning my own energy made better sense.
The pandemic modified my need to travel much.

@Shaveit If it's any comfort to you, they will be "getting it" soon. Right up the old wazoo.
Shaveit · 61-69, M
@4meAndyou No consolation to me… I’m getting the same mileage exemption that I did when gas was less than half as much as it is now. The only thing that essential workers can do is charge more for the same services. And the moochers all sit home drawing government funding. The only thing to left should be doing is thanking the right for keeping everything going. They sure as heck aren’t helping
