I'm from New York so....it really depends on the day. But I guess not all New Yorkers are as bad as you think. But whenever I head out of town or more specifically the country the vibe is totally different.

I'm not sure friendly/unfriendly is the right descriptive term. I think we tend to be more isolated from one another than we used to be -- most barely know any more than one or two of their neighbors let alone their communities, and social media is making personal interactions even rarer. We don't have the opportunities to be friendly we used to take for granted.

I think that the sense of community between people has deteriorated no matter where one lives.

people are distant and almost 'robotic' like now, too glued to their smart phones. sad.

@ravenhill Maybe. But I feel like in order to survive you have to be cautious of your company.
