Work wit' me. now...

So... Not hatin' nor makin' a blanket observation here..but ummm..

I don't have one... But I fib occasionally: Why is it that the words " I have a boyfriend" is the strongest card to stop harassment from a guy. As if to say he will respect a man he has no ides even exists.... Before he'll respect the woman standing right before his eyes. 🤔
SW-User
It's an unwritten well known "bro code." 🤣

But, tbf, that line doesn't always work. Some guys are just relentless. As long as you're willing to continue to speak with them, they assume your interested.
Trippin · F
@SW-User Totally agree. Some fear not as their ego see a chance to inflate bigger than this other guy. 🤷‍♀️
summersong · F
Tbh I had to use that last night and the dude still tried to argue with me about it. I have no idea why, it should really be enough to say no thanks
Trippin · F
@summersong Right!!! The utter persistency of it as if to proclaim: Ive no values nor character or respect for you but hey...wanna go on a date? Wtf!!
Alternate answers.
I’m a lesbian.
I have warts.
We need to sacrifice a living being to initiate the relationship..
Trippin · F
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Ill have to try those someday..🤣
SW-User
I’m telling you now that “I have a girlfriend” works even better 🤣🤣🤣
SW-User

Trippin · F

That reminds me of that comparisson men use a lot "I have a mother/daughter/sister" and therefore I understand or "it could be someone's daughter" therefore I appeal for people to *insert vague bullshit*

Thanks for that insight. It really blew my mind.
Trippin · F
@EuphoricTurtle Well said, and an excellent analogy of just how much we are willing to...be... Our thoughts. I thought it= must be true= they'll buy it. 🤷‍♀️
Adstar · 56-60, M
Well at lest they are one up on a lot of woman..

How many woman will try to get with a married man? How many woman do not respect the other woman?
Trippin · F
@Adstar Certainly. " How many" indeed. Having never done so my self I guess I never stopped and considered.. Well its only fair that I should give this guy my number cuz' well look what some other women do.
Kumbayakid · 61-69, M
@Trippin lol seems logical
Adstar · 56-60, M
@Trippin So it is a case of ,, Some other woman wanted this man, so he must be a man of high value, so i am going to see if i can take him off her..... 🥺
It's a little more complicated around these corners because personally since I'm after a lot more than a simple hookup it's not like you can force love, so whatever happens I mean maybe you can do something about but its doubtful. Whatever happens you just kind of have to go with the flow, can't really direct it.

s'why You just have to be prepared to be told no, you're not going to win every single time.

dis cat is very love seeking compared to peers, pure intentioned. =(
Lilymoon · F
some of them are ridiculously persistent. A punch in the gut might work for those guys. 🤭
@Lilymoon how does this affect stockers
Darkskiescoming · 51-55, M
NO, dont switch teams. LOL Yes they should respect you whatever your relationship status is and if they wont go away, you have your posse to back you up.
Trippin · F
@Darkskiescoming Haha... Oh trust me...they got my back. 😎❤️
Turtlepower · 36-40, M
Respect shouldn't depend on your gender or relationship status, but now that you admitted you're single can I take you out for a happy meal (I'm jk). 😂
Trippin · F
I didn’t realize that is a strong card but you would know. I can't explain the reaction either. if it works it works. Don’t overthink it.
What do you mean harrasment ?
@Trippin got it , in simple most men don't know how to talk women, they just ask questions thinking that they are making conversation with you.

When you say I have a boyfriend , they drop it as they think you are unavailable.

At least That's what I think.
Trippin · F
@Ihopetolivehappily Great answer. I don't " see" all men that way or carry this prejudge BS. But... Much truth in what you said for some. ❤️

plungesponge · 41-45, M
Cuz the guy you talking to can't fight. Lol
Sometimes we(I) don't even realize I'm flirting so you having a boyfriend is part of the conversation, coincidentally I have a wife. Doesn't end a conversation that I figured was leading nowhere anyway
vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
Because the man is more of a threat
SW-User
I don't understand these men, do they think they can harass you into being interested or attracted to them?
They seem to just see women as objects and feel it's their choice to choose and you have no choice in the matter?

They are scarey men, who are possibly capable of bad things towards women imho
Trippin · F
@SW-User I agree. Not blanketing all men nor do I claim myself to be " all that" or what ever. But there are many out there whom actually believe they will pull your number as if its a high pressure sales deal they will die to close. 🤷‍♀️
Adogslife · 61-69, M
@SW-User It’s a general lack of respect along with being uncultured. They’re just playing the odds game on line. If you ask enough women, someone will eventually be interested.

If you really want to drop to their level and inflict some pain, tell them your bf is extremely wealthy and has a huge dick, so what could I possibly want from you…?

Hopefully, water finds its level. Tornadoes do have an uncanny ability to find trailer parks, so there’s always hope.
