Youtube toxic curse - 'includes paid promotion'

Loads of content producers are doing this now - especially people who aren't professionals but do have quite a large 'fanbase'. Sickens me to see 'includes paid promotion' and I usually won't watch the video regardless of what it is.

YouTube/Google created this when they decided to regulate what content got monitized. It seems like everything related to fireams yes even the legal side got add revenue struck conservative leaning news got struck completely down. Hell even car stuff got hit with it.

@Ozuye502 Everyone has jumped onto the monetisation bandwagon now. Not just 'paid promotions' either. Some youtube channels have massive viewership and that leads to massive payouts to the content creators. Ads are just a way for people without massive viewership to make more money outside of the youtube realm itself. Google, facebook, etc. all depend themselves on ad revenue to be profitable and that's another angle.

There is a facility to fast forward through the shite.

And you are apparently old enough to remember the days of television when advert breaks happened frequently.

Did you stop watching TV? ;)

@Thodsis I remember when Foxtel was analog not digital and Foxtel had no ads. Then it switched to digital, got ads, and went to shit. I almost never watch tv. it's all shit. I don't watch any streaming services or pay tv, and free to air tv channels have really long (up to 5 full minutes at a time) ad breaks these days.

It shows you your life it .
Good. You'll miss out on a ton of good stuff as a result of your snotty attitude, and that makes me happy.

@LordShadowfire I won't provide google/youtube/alphabet with any more ad revenue than I choose to permit. ;-)
