My favorite booktubers
My latest fave is a channel called Leaf By Leaf, i first saw a video by him when i was looking for Man Without Qualities content a few years back. But these last few days i've taken to him much more, he makes me want to get Infinite Jest and Gravity's Rainbow and other interesting things, he's the one a few hours ago that tipped me in favor of getting My Struggle, and just be notified that there are quite a few good reviews on that work, and i'm loving it!!
Benjamin McEvoy is my official favorite, for his infectious enthusiasm, last video of his i watched he confessed that he gravitates to authors who were nice people, and Ben is a genuinely nice person, each comment i've made he's been nice, and he's like an authority, he gives lectures and teaches deep reading in a class he calls Hardcore Literature.
Better Than Food - Clifford Lee Sergeant is the coolest booktuber there is that i've seen, and probably the one i mention here that others perhaps know about. He doesn't seem to use goodreads, pity, and one thing i notice is that he'll probably respect you a bit more if you quit just mouthing empty praise and support the show for 5 dollars or more and you get a copy of the book he reviews and some coffee he brews himself.
Plagued By Visions - with Juan, this guy is so funny, and very insightful, he can appreciate the highs like Goethe, and the lows like Richard Laymon. He's the one that got me revved up over a year ago for disturbing books, his series for that has 9 installments so far!!
and Paperbird is a creative genius from what i've seen, i shared one of his videos few days back where he reviews a Wolfgang Hilbig in the form of a music video, highly entertaining and a breathe of fresh air.
