@Piper It's a catchy tune. No idea if Como ever came to Seattle. If he went on tour, I would guess that he did. Btw, the weather in the eastern part of Washington is significantly different from the western part, where Seattle is located. The west tends to be cloudy and rainy and it's generally pretty mild year-round. The east has hot summers, cold winters, and relatively little rainfall.

Interesting you should ask that. When I pointed out to a Seattle native that the city doesn't have a lot of blue skies (except in the summertime) and the song's lyrics are at odds with that, they said exactly what you asked about--that Seattle has the bluest skies when they are blue. I'm not seeing that. The blue skies here are no bluer than they are anywhere else, in my opinion.

@PoetryNEmotion Yes. He had such a warm, smooth, beautiful voice. We have a lot of cloudy days and frequent rainfall, though not so much this time of year. When it does rain, it's usually just drizzle rather than the downpours you get in so many other places.

@Rutterman I think they have an office in Olympia, dedicated to fucking up every road construction project. Still waiting for the West Seattle bridge to open. I love it on weekends when they close one of the bridges, and restrict the other to 1 lane, shared across.
