In less than two hours' time, my Twitter suspension will be over. How should I express my freedom of speech when that time comes?

Speak your truth but in words and tone that are non-violent towards others.
@hartfire But that’s more an idiom, not meant to be taken literally. This is not a violent emoji, for example—it just illustrates a popular idiom (mind-blowing) 🤯
@bijouxbroussard Hate to sound so stupid, but which phrase is an idiom not meant to be taken literally, "freedom of speech" or "speak your truth"?

If it's "freedom of speech" I agree. I don't know of any culture which doesn't have taboos on what is okay to say.
If it's "speak your truth", that also needs to be modified by what is appropriate to a situation, mindful of not using speech to hurt or harm.

There is no right to freedom without responsibility for consequences.
@hartfire The idiom was about "heads exploding", which is comparable to one’s "mind" being "blown". Not meant to be taken literally. And for the people on Twitter to claim that it was "inciting violence", was rather disingenuous, considering the right wingers they now support.
@bijouxbroussard I see what you mean!
Yes - disingenuous - or worse, machiavellian - a way to shut people down for harmless forms of speech.
The Twitter is weird - once I knew what it was I chose to avoid it.
