I don't think you're reading this correctly; or better, if what this meme implies was true we'd be hearing demands to either nationalize Twitter or regulate it. Honestly, I see no one begging Musk, or even the government, to intervene in this way. No one who claims "if you don't like the rules then leave" has changed their mind on it, they're simply following through: most people evidently don't like the new direction the platform has taken, and henceforth are leaving, until it'll become the next niche far-rightwing echo chamber, only attended by far-rightwingers.
The only one I see having a meltdown/regrets at this is Elon himself; you know, being the guy who put $44B at stake. Personally I'm having fun seeing how idiotic managerial decisions are leading an once $44B worth company towards collapse, you know, being at the end that usually is victim of sh*tty managerial decisions.

@SumKindaMunster
I know you don't, it makes me a little sad but then I remember you are young and this is how it is when you are that age.
I'm often told this, on the other hand nobody that I know in real life (even people 80+) who have left-of-center ideas has ever shifted to the opposite side of the spectrum over time. In my case actually, any and every crisis (2008, 2019/20 with covid, 2021 with the war, looking at the alt-right performance around the world) has only reinforced my current position 🤔 Did you have more liberal positions in young age, and found yourself switching right over the years, if I can ask?So it makes no impact on you that this happened after Musk bought the platform? Not before? If they were so concerned why didn't they make their voice known before he bought it?
Perhaps it wouldn't have been a priority if the acquisition didn't occur. In any case short of passing retroactive laws I don't really see any interference here.Doesn't pass the smell test. It's sour grapes because the blue check left wing Democrat country club has been invaded by the rowdies of Delta house.
Pretty much every Republican congress member has always had the blue checkmark as well..

Well yeah, that's the way of the internet and I wasn't saying otherwise
the meme I posted wasn't just in regards to the activity on Twitter but more or less the discussion of Twitter, which happens both on Twitter and the rest of the internet
The whole internet is a "warzone", that says nothing, this very site we're on is no exception lol

@Fishy Yes but in fact, what I'm pointing out is that actually no one changed their stance on Twitter being free to moderate itself how it likes to, and everyone on it being free to leave. We're just observing in real time the second part of this period happening, nothing more and nothing less.

Few people have changed their mind on that, but now the rules are changing to shield fascism, many people are indeed leaving.

Elon is spoiled doofus who comes from emerald mine money. He's not a good businessman and it would be great if more people could clue into that. 😂

Yup, I noticed that too.
