@iamonfire696 Thanks, yes, I did see that thread about Musk having lied about his college credentials, and having lived and worked illegally in the US from 1995-7. I don't know how many employees remain at Twitter; everything is rumors right now. FWIW, many folks on reddit are quoting that "75% leave after 50% are fired" claim, but we don't know where the claim originated.

@ElwoodBlues crazy that he lied about those things. Did you see all of those employees stuck at the Twitter office because the badges were turned off and he asked his security advisor he fired to come back 😂

@iamonfire696 It is crazy that he lied about his academic credentials. It says having credentials that prove how brainy you are is really important to him. As far as fired security officers and locked in locked out employees, I'm taking that with a grain of salt. Twitter seems to have no moderators these days so it's particularly easy to spread lies.

I don't know if those security stories are true or false; to me the spread of them just underlines how the whole notion of "free speech" is a dangerously naive myth. Without its moderators, twitter has rapidly turned into an anti-Elon cesspool. And doubtless other cesspools will follow.

@ElwoodBlues did you see investors paid for his BS degree in Economics and he didn’t get into a PHD program like he said. It’s astounding to me that it took this long to come out.

Fair point on those rumours but there is certainly things going on. Twitter is a hot dumpster fire. Adding that paid verification was so stupid and not well thought out at all.

@iamonfire696 I did see that. I think Wharton & UPenn are gonna have some really angry alumni if its revealed that a couple hundred thou will complete a degree and buy a diploma. If true, it dilutes every diploma UPenn has issued. On a related note, Donald Trump claims a Wharton diploma from class of '68, but nobody in the class of '68 can remember him. He's also made some neighborhood of 100K donations to Wharton or UPenn, and those donations from Trump are very rare.

@DeluxedEdition I didn’t realize Elon Musk was liberal. I thought he was a conservative. He seems to have an issue with censorship.

@iamonfire696 I think people assume he is conservative. I dont think he ever has expressed what his views were. And twitter has issues with censorship before, but now because liberal people are being censored it's a problem. Trump and kanye literally got banned off of an entire platform because people disagreed with his politics. Nobody bats an eye but nick cannon said said that "whites are inferior to blacks, adding that white people are “savages,” the “only way that they can act is evil,” and they “have to rob, steal, rape, kill … in order to survive.”during the blm riots and where is he? Before people on twitter were openly admitted pedophiles hiding under the secret hashtag #MAP #MAPPRIDE (minor attracted person) I got banned from twitter because I found the hashtag and had a lot to say about it. It's wrong for me to disagree with pedophiles but it's okay to speak about your sexual attraction for children on twitter.

@DeluxedEdition False premise. The liberals I keep track of agree that moderation of social media is necessary. Without moderation things tend to fill up with spam & porn. Like I say, false premise.
