The majority of Twitter staff have resigned and I’m pretty sure there’s more to follow them out the door.

It's been so enjoyable watching the smug mandarins at Twitter lose their collective minds over Musk's meddling.

Just remember:

It's a private company and he can do what he wants.
Free speech doesn't mean you can say whatever you want without consequences, it just means the government can't sanction you for what you say.
If you don't like it, go to another social media website. 😆

@SumKindaMunster The issue wasn’t with the government sanctioning people’s free speech. Governments can’t do that to private companies. The level of moderating is up to Twitter. If you let free speech/hate speech run rampant you scare off other users and advertisers which causes a loss in revenue for the platform. If you want to keep Twitter being a success you need to be able to encourage advertisers to the platform.

FTR the government didn’t sanction/ban Trump and his hate speech Twitter did. This is the point that brown shirt loving right wingers refuse to understand.

@SumKindaMunsterTwitter maintained moderation standards in order to maintain a flow of advertising revenue. That’s something that knuckle dragging right wingers have no concept of, aka how to run a business.

Do you understand that my issue is not with Twitter's business model, rather its users who turned their noses up arrogantly when others got deplatformed who are now crying foul that some goofy libertarian corporate raider has invaded their private tree house and trashing it?
