So if the person is the threat and there should be no regulations at all then why are some drugs banned and why is there an age limit on alcohol consumption lol maybe there should also not be a DUI law since the person is responsible for harming others on the street and not alcohol

@deadgerbil the funny thing is with how they're claiming that the Capitol riots were fake and how they still believe that the election was stolen, that basically means that there was not one single patriot out there who actually used their gun to defend their country and freedom lol so that means that they are useless since they claim guns will protect them from tyranny

Gun control is different, but that's a rabbit hole I'll steer clear from. You're spot on that giving perpetrators massive attention isn't helpful and I'll leave it at that. It's impossible to be this ignorant and make it to such a position. This can indeed only be a matter of not giving a flying f*ck about children and using that as an excuse to limit harmless things you don't look like. They are making it obvious enough, but I would really like just one of them to actually say it.
I had to surrender my Ruger 22 caliber semi auto pistol to the RCMP when they passed a law that forbids ownership of hand-guns and automatic weapons. I regret it so much as it was a beautiful weapon. A gun collector bought it from me.

@NerdyPotato he's just assuming irrelevant crap. Kids and teens get killed on a regular basis through no fault of their own, with parents being neglectful with their own firearms, unhinged people having guns, etc. Not that long ago there was a road rage incident where two father's shot at each other and they both ended up hitting each other's daughters. But in some people's minds, like the state senator's, we need more guns on the streets, and they better not be registered either, lest the second amendment gets infringed upon
