I wish we could upload longer videos here 😩

I want to share art timelapses, but videos cut off after 1 minute when uploaded to SW. 😒

I wish they'd just count as more pics in the gallery the longer they are, to fit on their server, that way at least I could choose myself if I want to upload 1000 pics or a couple longer videos.

That is strange.
Because all my videos are longer than 1 minute.
With the longest being 21.28 minutes.

@WolfGirlwh0r3 There are some things I just want to upload to my SW account, and since it's anonymous I don't really want to connect it to YouTube. 😅 I could make an anonymous YouTube account for this SW account, but the YouTube account would then be connected to a Google account, and it all just gets too annoying at that point. 😆

Try reducing the resolution, it will decrease the size of the file.

@Royricky09 Lol I have VIP so can confirm that, at least so far, I don't get special treatment in that particular area. 😆 Idk, it would be cool if they adressed it actually.

if u wana do really long videos. get onedeive or google drive and make ur video. / the get a share line to the video and post it here. and we can watch much longer videos

But thing is then I'd have to sacrifice space from my cloud, and I would rather use that space for other stuff then. 😆

@Nightwings u would have to scarifice some space but then take it down later for a new video. and no what u do is id say paste the link in the post dont do any thing else. like hainf video links here or anything idk if it will work

You'll have to break up them to those times. It's nice enough we get to upload videos at all. This site is more of a forum than it is social media.

@froggtongue It still would be a forum first and foremost, and splitting a 3 minute video into 3 parts is silly. We get a certain amount of space we're allowed to use for both pics and videos, so why limit the length of the video when it comes out to the same anyways? It doesn't really matter to them whether I upload 1 10-minute video, or 10 1-minute videos. 🤷‍♀

@froggtongue I don't know, it appears as though one video counts for one image in your gallery right now. It even says: "This photo can't accept comments." 😆 If that's the case, that's generous, unless they always downscale the quality to meet a certain amount of space. They do allow us to post rather high quality images, although they compress them. I find the whole system weird, and think it would be better for both them and the community if they just stated the amount of space we have available, instead of the number of images.
