Sometimes when reading posts, I wonder if people are speaking a different language as I don't understand what the person is saying/asking. Anyone else? It could be me, I'm old!

Please keep in mind not everyone is a native speaker of English. If you had to express your thoughts in East Slobovonian, native East Slobovonians might complain about your poor language skills.
@in10RjFox Speaking and writing — almost two different languages... Spoken Latin led to the Romance languages, whereas written Latin was deep-frozen and didn't lead anywhere.
