We Don’t Need This

Dear @Nuno, @Andrew,

Please get rid of the profile images and usernames that appear at the top of our feed.

I’m guessing others have already suggested the same thing and I want to add my voice to theirs.

I fail to see what purpose it serves to have this display of our presence here. Many of us have chosen to not have our green light enabled and this newer feature reduces the effectiveness of turning the light off.

At the very least, could we have the choice to opt-out of this, just as we do with the green light? I think that’s a reasonable compromise.

Thanks for all the effort you put into making SW a better place. I mean that sincerely, even if I don’t always agree with the changes that are implemented here.

Remember that cartoon where the WB animators were messing with Daffy Duck for the entire cartoon and at the end they reveal that Bugs Bunny is the artist, saying "Ain't I a stinker?". That's what we're dealing with here.

@uncalled4 Oh yeah, I saw and replied to that post. You were the first one I heard mention that dead people's profiles were appearing on top of the feed.

This definitely is some stinky stuff.

@Rutterman I can accept that SW and I differ on some features, but this is just some next level of fu**ed up that I find challenging to understand. At least they used to beat their chests and brag about the features before. This one just appeared like a zit. Ah, why not just let 'em blurt at this point?
