It would be nice to be able to post a story available for anyone to read and comment on, below. If commenters could reply to other commenters, of course. It was EP's chief charm and led to a lot of fascinating and stupid conversations

There were never stupid conversations. Meandering, yes. Random, yes. But in our group they were highly intelligent and meaningful. Just because outsiders were unable to figure out the meaning only proved that they were....wait....what was the question?
