I Have a Suggestion for Similar Worlds

Question: If someone that blocks you makes a comment on someone else's post, why does it show the "This message is deleted" message? I mean, why bother showing anything at all? Any responses to it don't have any context, and thus are worthless to read, and you can't respond to it. Plus, it informs you that someone has blocked you. Now I just want to know what the comment was, because it's clearly interesting to people, and I feel out of the loop of the conversation.

So I guess my suggestion is to just not display any comment thread started by someone that blocked you. There's really no reason for it.

It's not a bug, it's a design decision. You have been blocked by person "A", but you're still able to see all replies by others, and these might have some value on their own to you.

The string "This message is deleted" is unfortunate, because it isn't, a better solution would be "You cannot see this message because its author has blocked you."

@helenS I would prefer the brutal honesty over the misleading alert. At least I would stop getting confused by which message was actually deleted by a user, and which one was an attempt by the system to spare my feelings from a blocker.

@FaeLuna Yes exactly; the error message should be replaced.

@FaeLuna Some blockers are cowards.

@helenS Great solution. I get sick of seeing the older version. 😏

@chrisCA those who have blocked me did so without any explanation. One that did said I had bad manors!

@samueltyler2 You and bad manners! Incredible…
