It means in a text , Not with her voice? I guess I need to be glued to my phone 18 hours a day

My daughter isn`t a teen any longer but she`ll text me and my phone lives on the table, if I hear it I`ll answer it, but if not well.... next thing I know I`m getting a call about an hour later. 😬
