Don't make it an intimidation issue. It's done to intimidate.
Texting is unemotional and that is exactly what they want. She's avoiding being emotional. Not dealing the real issues.
Texting is short and sweet. And short and sweet is controlling the narrative. Not so a personal call. A voice has nuances. Not robotic.
In a business setting this is advantages. Yeah! It's not invasive. Yet you don't want to be invasive in a business setting.
Not so in a personal setting. No emotional growth is not a good thing on a personal basis.
The separate circumstances should remain separate.
This is why most businesses are going to AI. It's unemotional. It's hard to argue with an AI emotionally. Little emotional aspects in AI. And absolutely no caring.
Please notice how long this comment is! 😆
If she not making long texts, this is exactly the reason. 🤷🏻♂

What’s the difference today? I’m 65 and I communicate with many people by text. It’s much less invasive than a call.

My daughter isn`t a teen any longer but she`ll text me and my phone lives on the table, if I hear it I`ll answer it, but if not well.... next thing I know I`m getting a call about an hour later. 😬

At that age it's communication - talking and texting,,,
It's not a 2-way street. Yes, set boundaries, but you have to be the one.

If they do it's a way to intimate you for something but my instructions are clear you don't intimate me but ask me ...

Oh my. Glad my kids are no longer teens. They still prefer to communicate by text sadly.

Oh yes.. that happened a few times when my son was a teen… I’d forgot he told me about a school event or something

I pay attention, because if she texts me, not part of some group text, it means she's going to call me on it at some point.
