Reddit is such a PITA. 🙄

Not sure why it has pretty much replaced most Q&A type sites and message boards for specific hobbies/interests, and is the only place to ask for targeted advice anymore. The ridiculous rules for posting (often accompanied by sub descriptions and rules that don't even mention them, so you're expected to just magically know them as if you live on there like the mods apparently do), rudeness by mods and dwellers towards people who don't magically know rules that aren't present in the sub rules/description, BS removals based on hurt feelings rather than broken rules or something stupid like the structure/formatting not being an extremely specific way (or not having an insane amount of "karma" because you don't spend your entire life on there the way some people do), the echo chamber-y effect and how anyone who disagrees with the popular opinion is treated as if they're Hitler themselves (and Heaven forbid you have a political disagreement), and the power hungry, control freak-y, inflated sense of importance the mods have as if they are great authoritative figures in society and we'd all be lost without their "service" and their shitty subs are all pathetic. I'd actually rather deal with the trolls at Yahoo! Answers than this garbage, and I can't believe that Reddit has successfully monopolized these corners of the Internet (well, them and Facebook groups, which are probably equally cesspools, just with added cliqueiness and bitchiness).

Oh, and not to mention that every other post on Reddit seems to be something along the lines of "Whaaaa, whaaaa, my life sucks because my parents are going to kick me out of their basement if I don't get off my ass and get a job, they're such greedy boomers" or "Whaaaa, whaaaa, life sucks because I couldn't stay in high school/college and party it up forever and have to go to work instead now." 🤣

Create your own subreddit for Pete's sake!

Oh right, you don't have enough of a following to do that. 🙃

@DeWayfarer Lol, why would I do that? So I can reminisce about high school and college with a bunch of adult children who refuse to leave their parents' basements and get jobs (that aren't "social media influencer," "Reddit mod," or "OnlyFans")? Yeah, my heart is just broken that I don't have a posse of losers to pretend I'm a "popular kid" back in high school with. 🤣

I care a lot more about having quality people around me in real life than a large group of online trolls with no lives outside of the Internet, however, it's nice to be able to seek advice about things like fixing something or finding information on something you own without having to deal with a bunch of over-inflated ego control freak BS just to ask the damn question. 🙄 In the days of message boards, you could ask and someone would answer, and it was as simple as that. No unnecessary jumping through hoops to make someone with no real life accomplishments (and likely no job history at all) feel like they're an important authority figure.

Because the only reason to be on tiktok is to be a social influencer. For whatever reason

Reddit is only smaller. No different.

Create the group yourself you can exclude whomever you wish.
