Why message me and then immediately go offline?

I have done that a few times if had to run for a bit. I wouldn’t take it personal.

I don't care whether or not the other person is online. I feel no need to have the conversation back and forth in real time. That is why I practically never turn on my green light.

It happens ... often come on then get interrupted ... nothing personal ... pick up conversation later ...

If they DM'd you, and then ran away.. possible a virtual prank like ringing someone's doorbell? Or maybe faint of heart, seeing your profile photo, lost courage, and disappeared?

I agree hate when people do that.
