Getting people to DM/ chat is so hard on this site!

I’ve been around here long enough that I only message people if we clearly have things in common to talk about and we’ve interacted on many posts beforehand, even then I very rarely message anyone, the fact is not everyone is here to private message, you can understand why women in particular will be wary of men messaging them, as a lot of the time those men just want sexual chat. Just make posts that you are interested in and people will eventually comment, but when it comes to private messaging probably be more patient and see who you click with on public forums first, and read their “about me” to see if they even accept dms, if not then respect their wishes.
