Getting people to DM/ chat is so hard on this site!

Why is it so hard to get people to dm you on this site. Is it a bunch of fake accounts? I don’t know what else to do. And when I post no one comments.

It's more of a forum site than a dating site.
And people have a right to converse in the private messages or not it's up to them and not up to those who wish they could converse with them.

My philosophy is that if somebody offers me friendship and we are compatible then I'm happy with it even if it's one or two.
I don't really talk in the DM as I'm happy with the friends I have already here.
But, it took me quite awhile to make the friends.
I was on EP for over 6 years, I think.
Have to give things time
