My old therapist sent me a message asking for money. Is she on drugs? Should I give her money regardless?

Weird af but we didn't have a normal therapeutic relationship, I used to supply her with psilocybin mushrooms. The request came with the perfect story to get me to help, but she used to be my therapist and could easily predict what that story would have to be.

I actually don't really mind if she's manipulating me to get drugs, so I'm not going to not do it based on that, but I'm not sure what the best thing to do here is.

Thoughts?
[c=4C0073]Could you please share the her story with us please .
So we may not use it in near future while thinking about borrow money from you or anyone else! [/c]

The amount of money she is asking for won't make a significant difference in my life.
@GlitterEater aren't psychiatrists loaded? Wtf?
That sounds like some serious breach in her practicing principles from her part wthh
GlitterEater · 36-40, F
@PepsiColaP She's either homeless or trying to buy drugs. In either case I wouldn't expect her to be very concerned with those ethics.
@GlitterEater she wasn't when she first asked a patient to be her supplier
GlitterEater · 36-40, F
@PepsiColaP That's definitely true.

@GlitterEater it’s an invitation to something you want no part of

Reach back out to her and ask her how she feels and what’s going on in her life. You know play therapist
Viper · M
I would assume her account her been hacked and it's not really her asking for money.

Your therapist needs to see a therapist.
I think she'd have to put out first
Tell her that you’re considering it but you would rather she just be one hundred percent honest with you about her situation
GlitterEater · 36-40, F
@Onestarlitnight That's essentially telling her that I don't believe her story. Her story could be true. I can't tell.
@GlitterEater
Then tell her that you’re going to help her out but you’re not sure you believe her story and that it’s fine to be honest with you..

If she have ddiagnosed you as psychitzo...you know, dual personality....send her half the amount she's billing you and tell her to get the other half to pay her
NickiHijab · F
Is this her own private practice or is she dumb?

I wouldn't give anyone money unless it was owed.
GlitterEater · 36-40, F
@NickiHijab She isn't currently working.

If you're looking for a new therapist I'm available. And yes, I'll work for shrooms.
This is highly inappropriate and unethical. Don't walk, run!
GlitterEater · 36-40, F
@Activitykittens I already knew that. She is desperate though and a person who I like.
@GlitterEater you don't earn a psychiatrists salary and get to a place where you are genuinely financially 'desperate' without some serious instability

So I'm curious if she's spiralling

It's ultimately your choice (and I know you already know that too)
