My instagram was banned for no reason and then they're like... you can appeal... I appeal but they want me to upload my actual ID!

no thanks! These huge social media companies have so much overreach in my opinion.

Agreed. I’ve been a victim of ID theft before and wouldnt risk it for Instagram.
