Sometimes I feel like instagram can read our minds

My understanding is that Meta tracks everyone (including non-users) whenever it can. It uses that data to automatically custom-tailor your feed. TikTok does something similar as well.

The web is a public utility run by conservative oligarchs to modify our behavior.
No more antitrust laws in its way. Your mind is their property.
But Americans want this and war. They voted against e in who would make the internet a public asset. And no one here but me even minds. Not even you.

They read your typing and search history aka cookie data tracking your online activities some even listen to your devices’ microphone

It's just the algorithm. Everything you type or have been interested in is tracked.
