Watch Out for Sales on Instagram

I saw an ad for Clark shoe clearance and thought I was buying the real deal. 43.65. Clark has great shoes. Turns out to be a Chinese front. Here were the red flags:

I didn't get the shoes for almost a month. Had to email twice. I tried to track them and couldn't through the tracking number.
The order number was 970. (new company)
No way online to contact the seller. (had to email and no response for days). NO customer service at all.
Got the shoes and they were a cheap knockoff. No invoice in the package nor return instructions. They would have broken had i worn them once.
Contacted the seller again, no response.
Lucky me, I purchased them through Paypal. They gave them until April 28th to respond. A note on Paypal popped up asking me to contact the seller through another email address, also Chinese. I did. No response again for days.
Finally another email (3rd one) contacted me offering to refund me 9.95 and I could keep the cheap shoes.
I told them no, I wanted a full refund.

Paypal stepped in and refunded the full amount BEFORE April 28th.

It is a fact of life that the Chinese are buying up Iconic international brands like Clarks. That doesnt always mean the new ownership are selling junk. But if you were hoping for the high quality. (Like Volvo) Forget it.,馃樂

@whowasthatmaskedman Maytag was once the gold standard. Now they're owned by a Chinese conglomerate Haier.
