Should I be concerned

My girlfriend is very social. She initiates giving her coworkers her instagram. She says she wants to build followers but also told me she doesn’t want to give her number so she gives her instagram.

I find it weird and annoying. Why give your instagram at all? Find followers another way am I right?

it's a way to be social without being too personal.

it's like those text apps, ppl txt a real phone number but it's not your real phone number, people can communicate with you through IG but not get your real, personal info, they are stalking you IG, you can just delete it,

it's harder to change phone number, address ect.
