I just got blocked by someone I been talking to for awhile

They been knowing my views of advocating for due process for immigrants for quite awhile. I think people need to consider if I'm for them before being friends with me. I'm willing to accept differences but the way our govt is going about things is wrong period. I won't bow to anyone on that.

The way I see it with anybody/everybody we're not going to see eye to eye on everything so there will eventually be a disagreement but because I'm an adult (I don't know if anybody else is) I won't let it cloud my judgement on the next topic unless it is a core disagreement*.

* This would be something like when a person says, 'they killed one of our people we'll kill (an innocent) one of theirs'.

@GeniUs The trouble is that it seems like once a person "decides" you are something, nothing you say will make it better. Most of the arguments been stuff like "so you say" "so you're this or that" "so what you're saying is" and then whatever hyperbolic thing they can think of. That's what I find, once a person decides you are something, you just are lol.

@SatanBurger Some people have to win an argument, whether they are right or wrong and will use what ever tactic necessary even labelling you something derogatory in the process. I remember being accused of wanting Mengele style experiments on people over Covid; perhaps Mengele did isolate people to check the results of a vaccination program (I kinda doubt it) but to associate an idea with a name like that to discredit it is just the desire to remove it from the argument. Not worth carrying on a discussion with somebody who does that. Can't remember whether one of us blocked the other but that sort of person is not worth associating with.
