Whoops! I Do Wish People Were Not So Quick To Block, But I Feel I Owe An Apology

I mistakenly thought the "to myself" part of a response to a post, would make it clear that I was not meaning to insult the OP. I am sorry, that I offended you (her).

I recently experienced something similar. I used a phrase like "if you think that..." , meaning "if one thinks that..." , but the person I was conversing with thought I was referring to him personally and was insulting him. I tried explaining, but he had written me off, although I don't think he blocked me.

I felt bad about it, but "it happens."

@DrWatson We have to be very, very careful, don't we, when speaking to the overly sensitive folk. 😁

@DrWatson I've experienced something very similar to that, many times. Sometimes I feel bad about it, but not usually. Many times people perceive an insult, based only on their preconceived notions.
