Why do we have to pick one or the other? They both have their good and bad.

From a purely functional perspective, this site is wwwway better. I can scroll all over the place when replying to a comment but reddit only lets me see the comment I'm replying to. Not the post or anything else.

Ive lost many replies I'd been working on in reddit and here, everything stays where I write it and is there til I send it

Reddit is also very clicky and has some stupid rules that can be misunderstood and therefore resulting in loss of karma, which is a whole different issue. ..karma on reddit is another form of social credit like they have in China, which reminds me of another reddit issue. Censorship.

Whenever I see a post asking the importance of karma, I say it's to get us used to the idea of social credit. Each time it gets deleted. ..which proves my point

I had a post that I'd written a long intro that included detailed history. I also mentioned that I'd been hammered in another post and wanted some karma to offset it.

The post got almost 1000 likes and around 200 comments (100 individuals and 100 replies from me).

Then i get a message from one of the mods saying they removed my post due to low effort karma farming. There was nothing low effort about it. But it was getting much more traffic than any of the mods posts.

Also, reddit is set up for trolls. They don't care about the truth or justice.
