if you get a friends request on facebook from someone you don't know, should you message them and ask ' what they want'

confront the person about it? ask them ' who are they? and why they sent the friends request for?'

it's just as i feel a bit outraged & angry really, as earlier on , a strange thing happened a facebook account, with a middle eastern / arabic name sent me a friends request, i'm a private person and only have extended family, a few old classmates on my friends list, i never accept people i don't know...and feel outraged and a bit annoyed that this person or spam account sent me a friends request?

i checked their facebook profile, and the person or whoever only has 3 friends, i don't know if it's a male or female as i can't tell by the profile name, only that it's an Arabic name....i have the feeling it's a spam account....but still feel angered by the friends request....and that whoever it is, sent me a request.

i always get advised to ignore anything like this, but another part of me wants to confront whoever sent it and ask who they are and why they sent me a friends request?
