I Just Had A Weird EP Moment

Young man, ages 22-25, whom I had never had any interaction with on the public thread just started messaging me. Because I didn't see anything pervy or offensive in his profile, I accepted his message and messaged him back. To keep this from being filtered out of the main EP homepage, I'll post the details of the interaction below.

Thanks for posting this. I'm always curious to see how weird things can get in private. At least you tried talking to him first instead of just blocking like some of the more rude people.

Yeah, sometimes I'm not sure how much I should try to reason with someone before blocking them. He wasn't making much sense for a while (probably partly due to poor typing ability and partly due to a poor grasp of the English language). So I wanted to be sure that I understood what he was getting at before I decided what to do about it. And I also try to give people a better chance to explain themselves and maybe apologize for being inappropriate before blocking them.
