I've just been blocked by an Artificial Insemination account - a purportedly trans person who didn't like my defence of women (as defined by the UK Supreme Court) feeling threatened by the infiltration of single-sex spaces by anyone with all their tackle still in place.

@ArtieKat Well, then, you might as well block me, because unlike that person, I will confront your transphobic BS until you're ready to cry.
ArtieKat · M
@LordShadowfire What makes you call me transphobic because I'm prepared to defend the rights of women to have safe spaces away from sexual predators?
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@ArtieKat That's how JK Rowling started. We see how she is now.
ArtieKat · M
@LordShadowfire Worth 950-odd million quid in the latest ST Rich List - using it to support the causes she believes in. And your point is?
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@ArtieKat The cause she believes in is trans erasure. Do you support that? It sounds like you do. You people always disguise it as standing up for women's rights.

Who are "you people"? Where is your evidence that JK Rowling actually said that? Or has she been misquoted because she opposes macho blokes passing themselves off as female so that they can intimidate women?

@ArtieKat How come people who talk the most sm4ck about trans also say they are not transphobic?
ArtieKat · M
@Punches I met my first transsexual in 1977 - a regular customer in the pub where I worked. I believe in "live and let live".
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@ArtieKat And yet you want to force all the trans men to use the ladies' room, regardless of how masculine they look, and likewise with all the trans women.

Interesting!
ArtieKat · M
@LordShadowfire Did I say that? I don't know what it's like where you are but in the UK all public buildings have disabled/unisex lavatories.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@ArtieKat I see, well, it's definitely different here. There are very few unisex restrooms, or gender neutral as they're now called, and where they do exist, there are always snowflakes crying about their existence. I told a guy on social media that I have three gender-neutral restrooms in my house, and he freaked out before he finally figured out what I was actually saying.

@LordShadowfire I've yet to meet a man who feels threatened by transsexuals. There is, on the other hand, plenty of anecdotal data on women who feel threatened by people with a penis and testicles using spaces defined as "women-only". I was at College when "Women's Lib" first emerged - I know how hard my female friends fought for equality; I also know how hard my gay friends fought against the criminalisation of their relationships - and the legal right to marry. When "Stonewall" achieved those rights they should have liquidated the organisation. But they didn't.

I can hear it now -
"How dare you have gender neutral restrooms in your own home! Where will this madness end! There needs to be a law!"
Dude it's INS4NE how worked up these right wingers get! And you're just the man to tick them off. 😄

@ArtieKat Most people h4te public restrooms. Trans people REALLY h4te public restrooms.
Yeah some women do feel threatened about someone with male parts in there BUT normally people do not go to the restroom to stare at others' crotch3s.

ALTHOUGH I had one cis female friend who was using the stall and some random other woman was trying to peek through the crack between the door and the wall. Her explanation was she was making sure there wasn't a man in the stall.

I do not know why a male-to-female trans would even want to use the lady's room because women are nasty and intrusive in the restroom. It isn't like the men's room where the guys do not even acknowledge each other.
