You think you're safe online? Lemme tell you a story...

When I was 16 and still living at home, I loved visiting a 50+ chat room. I even became their mascot after a while.

I chatted with plenty of people in private, but nothing to worry about bc they knew my age and just wanted to be friends.

One night, while visiting the chat room, a new guy popped up in my private messages. We got to talking and after a while he asked if I was willing to meet him for some fun.

I hadn't shared any personal info. Only thing they knew was my age. So, I assumed it was a joke and said "sure"

He immediately logged off and sent me a text on my phone!!! It said "I'll be there in approx 7,5h"

I blocked the number and was completely freaked out. I was home alone at the time and didn't have an adult I trusted enough to tell. So I locked all the doors and tried all sorta of things to distract me from thinking about it all.

8h later I heard a knock on the door. I asked "who's there?" and the man responded with the username he used in chat. Obviously I freaked the eff out.

I must have gone into survival mode, but 6am the next thing I remember is waking up with him next to me in bed. I didn't drink or use any drugs, so I genuinely can't explain how he got there.

I woke him up and told him he had to leave bc my mom and stepdad would be home soon and I had a lot of chores to do before they got there. All lies, but it worked. He was out of the house within a couple of minutes.

I never heard from him again, luckilly. But I learned my lesson. No more chat rooms.

I know this sounds like a creepypasta, and lawd, do I wish it was....

Hmmm. you say you were 16 and now are 36-40. Therefore this occurred at least 20 years ago which would have been the year 2005 or 2006. the Internet was not as sophisticated as it is now.

You said: "I hadn't shared any personal info. Only thing they knew was my age."

I would love to know how he would have gotten your home address and telephone number. And if he did show up at your door, why in the world would you have answered?

As a retired law enforcement homicide detective, none of this makes any sense to me, other than as a fantasy- material for you to wank off to.

@Father2 It's true, sadly. I really wish it wasn't.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
That had to have been very scary. I`m glad you don`t do those chatrooms anymore.
TheRealBarbossa · 36-40, T
@Degbeme yeah, do not recommend
ItsMeMorgue · 46-50, F
I'm so sorry that happened. I wish there was justice for people like that.
TheRealBarbossa · 36-40, T
@ItsMeMorgue As do I.
I didn't post this for sympathy, but to warn people of the dangers.
ItsMeMorgue · 46-50, F
@TheRealBarbossa I know. Abuse of that nature is deeply personal, and people don't share that just for sympathy or clout.

That’s horrible. It sounds like he chloroformed you or something 😔 How else wouldn’t you remember 😔
TheRealBarbossa · 36-40, T
@MellyMel22 possibly. Idk

Did he have sex with you
TheRealBarbossa · 36-40, T
@nevergiveup all evidence points towards that, yes.

@nevergiveup I know. But I was too ashamed and scared to report it. Which is why I posted this to warn people of the dangers.
