New trend--be careful!!! Especially men...and horny men especially!

Interesting new trend. I have been contacted by and friended a number of young female people on here who have little on their profiles then quickly ask to communicate somewhere else--WhatsApp, e-mail or whatever. They all do turn out to be fakes...not sure what they are looking for--money? Stealing our information?

To be honest it's not a new trend. I've been aware of it for at least nine years. In fact I'm currently in the midst of one such conversation on SW with someone who wants me to head to Google Chat and zangi because "I want to get to know you better"

@onrealityofdreams Same zangi (never heard of it) and signal (isn't that the app used to leak military information?). She doesn't come here often. Well what's the difference coming here or zangi? why did you come here in the first place then?

@JimboSaturn I tell them all the same thing. We can chat here.
When asked if I'm on Google Chat/zangi/WhatsApp my response is "No because there are scammers there".

@onrealityofdreams Yeah, ask women. This isn't new at all. We've had pretty much every scam attempted on us. Lol

Even this site says to stop talking to anyone who wants you to talk away from the site. Part of that is the site wants you to keep pinging their site, but also because outside of a delayed DM system where you can take time to think about the conversation, you are more susceptible to impulse on a direct messaging app, particularly ones that don't keep the data.
