Become a better listener....

@nudistsueaz Too few understand that communication begins with listening/reading, not talking/writing. Acknowledge you understand where they are coming from, whether you agree with it or not, without immediately judging them. Indicate what you feel you can contribute to the discussion, without doing a total, overwhelming dump of everything you know or feel on the subject. Then have patience, particularly online, since you don't know how frequently they come on, what time zone there are in.

I personally don't think it matters how long before anyone replies to a message as you have to remember that people have other things going on. There is no need to feel pressured in replying immediately anyway. Just get used to writing short messages to begin with and you will be able to write more as you gain more confidence. Making good friends takes time anyway.

@Gipeswic A lot of my friends on here are in other countrys so the time difference can be a problem. Some times its hours before they see my replies

Try to find a common interest.

Don’t expect too much to start with.

Give them space, there maybe a lot going on in their lives, that they don’t want to open up with you.

Are u willing or able to be a good friend in return? It can’t be one sided.
