Remember the AOL chat rooms?

I met so many people through AOL back in 1990’s-00’s then it just died. Anyplace you go to now is filled with bots, porn, sext DMs and pervs. Are there any REAL chat rooms like AOL anymore? I miss those days of the internet.

I miss chat rooms in general but I guess discord ruined that.
Cause it's kind of like chat rooms except you need to jump through hoops just to be able to post and then repeat that same boring, tedious process for every single server, only to discover that it's exactly the same as the others, regardless of what the topic is supposed to be.
