When somebody is trying to bait you into an online argument and then blame you for it, do you engage them or ignore?

I laugh at them because they usually start arguing about silly things that don't matter and divert from the original topic of discussion.

That depends a lot on who it is or what they say, but I tend to ignore them more often than not, these days.

I actually got engaged with the last person who tried to start an argument. Yep, the wedding is Sept 17th.

If someone starts any confrontation with me, I usually disengage. I'll make my side known for about a paragraph or so and most keep just arguing (although its rare I get confrontations), so I stop.

Usually they only do that if you're winning, take the win and walk away lol

I don't take the bait.
I'm too old to let online strangers get to me when I probably dont give two shits what they think.
It's best to just disengage and move on to a new post. I mute if it's someone who is just ridiculous/stupid, I'll block if they're obscene directed at me, seem obsessed, or revolting.

Ignoring always works best and I try to follow that route.

If I answer ( I do like to argue a little) I’ll state my opinion they can agree or not because they can have their opinion ( even if it happens to be wrong) it’s hard to change someone else’s opinion.

I like arguing but only in a constructive way - it loses it's appeal when it turns to personal attacks etc.

Sometimes, I enjoy goading them until they block me...

I use facts till they insult then they go away.

Thats 90% of liberals on here, and if you dont engage they keep at it wont stfu
