At IKEA again. But this time I'm here to actually buy something. One of my little IKEA Bluetooth speakers has died. I bought it two and a half years ago and it was only 89 NOK so I won't bother trying to get it fixed or replaced. I'll just get a new one.
Only thirty months then broke down. Is that typical of electronic equipment sold by IKEA? Still, you do say it was quite cheap - I expect only imported from China or India anyway.
My brother told me his and wife are going to assemble an IKEA chest of drawers, but modify it in the process. I commented they may as well make it from scratch - he has the equipment and skill. He said the raw materials would cost more than the IKEA kit!
@ninalanyon I think you will find the odd failure in any product line no matter how high its general quality; but it is a huge tragedy and indeed serious problem that so much around the world has been bought or simply stolen by the People's Republic of China.
Came out without sunglasses today. I always tell myself that I just wear them as a fashion accessory and of course as protection against the sun and to a degree it's true but it's also because I feel naked without them. Not in the sense of being nude but like being exposed to some danger without proper protection.
This business of being myself isn't as straightforward as I'd like it to be. I'm reminded of all those times when I, and others, have been exhorted to "Just be yourself!". If only it were that simple.
Grr! Despite having the same type number, E2133, the Dajlien and Vappeby speakers won't talk to each other. So I can't pair them for stereo. Looks like I'll have to buy another one on m next visit to IKEA.
@22Michelle It turned out to be operator error. I got the manual out and followed the instructions properly and now the new and old speakers are paired. Now listening to the 2028 remaster of Tusk with the volume turned up.
