Stopped at the Holiday Inn Express outside Folkestone for the last refuelling stop before the ferry.
Sitting in the café having a quite acceptable machine made Americano while the car charges.
Edit: Forgot to mention that the guy who served the cream tea addressed me as madame. I wasn't even wearing my hat or my sunglasses. Makes me feel good and hopeful.
@StevexStephie Much too warm, it was about 16 C. But more importantly I only wore the heels to avoid being told I couldn't go into Tesco's to do some last minute shopping. I'm barefoot now, as I usually am so long as the temperature is above +5 C.
Also, a number of people have been kind enough to say my legs look good so I want to show them off while that lasts! Age will catch up with them one day!
The reason for the heels is that I wanted to do some shopping in Tesco's in Hook before leaving but last time I tried I was told by the security guard that I had to wear shoes.
