In The Folly café, Odiham. Just had an acceptable mocha and a nice feta and honey turnover, a sort of unrolled croissant.

Today's outfit is a white crocheted top and a short pink miniskirt.

Got back to Hook twenty minutes ago and visited the St Michael's Hospice charity shop. Bought a long pink jumper, a white cotton top, and a book. Three pounds altogether. The jumper is far too warm for today even though it's fairly light but winter is coming. Also it might be possible to stretch it a little and wear it as a dress.

Now I'm in the Café Baristas a few metres away having a slice of lemon drizzle and an Americano. The coffee was served with the espresso in the cup and the water in a jug. Never seen that before but it makes sense then you can adjust the dilution to your own taste.

I walked from the Raven to Odiham the long way round to avoid having to walk on the verge of a kilometre of dual carriageway. The route along Holt Lane took me through a nature reserve, over the motorway, through fields to Newlyn's farm which has a shop and café that was my original destination. But I decided against it as it's more cafeteria than café. So I plotted a route to the Fountain Coffee Shop in Odiham along another 1 500 m of public footpaths; this time fields of cattle.

It's strange how cautious I am when walking through fields of cows now as an adult. When I was in infant and primary school we played in the fields all summer long and never gave the cows a second thought.
