I've just wasted five minutes of call time on my PAYG mobile waiting for my internet provider to answer so that I can cancel. Then I told the friendly chat bot that had told me I must phone that i can't do that and it told me:

Ingen stress! Du kan bruke vårt kontaktskjema for oppsigelse når du er i utlandet.

In English that's:

No stress! You can use our contact form to cancel when you are outside the country.

So I follow the link it gave only to find that it is only available when the telephone lines are unmanned!

They are making it deliberately awkward. I have a date this evening so I've set an alarm for early tomorrow morning to do it before 08:00 Norwegian time.

Grr.

@Maturebate They didn't answer. I dropped the call after five minutes to avoid running out of credit. I have no idea how long I might have waited, the automated voice thanking me for waiting didn't even tell me how many were ahead of me in the queue let alone an estimated waiting time.

@ninalanyon it can be so annoying dealing with such companies. Some do not even have phone number and everything has to be done by web forms or email which they never answer.

Been for a walk to check how far it is to my 'date' this evening. Twenty two minutes brisk walk, so I'll allow half an hour

Now I'm in the Neighbourhood café having a potato and paneer quiche and a nice pot of tea served by a pretty and smiling young lady.

It's early and I haven't yet written up this evening's Naughty Blog. It needs writing up because it was very good. But I'm worn out after it so I'll have to defer it until I'm less sleepy.

@22Michelle Well, not a date in the sense of going out to dinner, etc. But I'm visiting a CD in her home this evening.

I suppose that I've averaged somewhere between one and two per fortnight on this holiday. Usually with me accommodating though.

Just been checking the notifications on my phone. One was from Google Maps about my Timeline for August. Here's a couple of screenshots

I was a bit surprised at the number of hours devoted to sports. I'm pretty sure I haven't devoted more than a few hours of my entire life to sports let alone all those hours in August. So I clicked the link to see the details. It turns out to be the riding centre next to the place I rented outside Wells, so it was mostly just counting the hours I was asleep in the flat!
