The sensory garden

The notice at the entrance to the sensory garden calls this an old cider press but it is really the bottom part of a cider mill. Originally there would have been a post in the middle to which would be attached a beam carrying a stone wheel. At the other end of the beam a horse or ox would be harnessed which would then walk around causing apples to be crushed under the wheel

@ninalanyon the caffeine is very high and combined with alcohol gives a real high. I dont think they sip it either. They call it bucky up there.

Buckfast Abbey church. Much of the church is only a hundred years old. Apparently built by the monks themselves to a large extent.
