Had a bit of a frantic start to the day. Took a while to get to sleep last night but then I slept until ten this morning! And then I panicked because for some reason I thought it was Tuesday and on Tuesday I'm expecting a visitor at 10:30. So rushed to the shower, showered, dried, put my stockings on, made sure I could find the front door key, and was dithering over which dress to wear when it dawned on me that it might not be Tuesday. Went and checked my mobile which said Monday.
I wasn't sure whether I was more pleased that I could stop rushing or more annoyed that having rushed I wasn't going to get any reward.
Anyway I calmed down, made three drop scones from the batter I made last night. While they were cooking I undressed and did nine of each of my exercises.
Decided on an itinerary for the day: Sea change café for lunch, walk out to the end of the South Pier, visit The Word for a snack and to read the book, then home.
Best laid plans ..
Sea change is closed on Mondays. The end of the pier is closed. But a few metres to seaward of Sea change is Colmans Fish and chips so I had chips instead. And I walked as far out on the pier as I could.
On the way from the pier to The Word I walked past a phone shop, Fairtech, King Street. I've been looking for a wallet case for my mobile ever since I got it without success. So I went in and asked. The woman serving asked to see the About page in the settings and then walked back to the racks behind the counter where she walked back and forth for quite a while before coming back with three cases, none of them marked Moto Edge 50. But it turned out that unlike almost every other such shop she actually knew what she had and what might fit. So she unwrapped a case marked Oppo took my mobile out of its case and put it in the new case . I don't think it is a perfect fit but it's only off by a fraction of a millimetre, if that.
The camera cutout on the back is unnecessarily large but that doesn't matter.
So now I'm having a large filter coffee and a slice of lemon meringue in the Café @ The Word.
