In the Champagne Bar at Spanish City having a half of Aspall's and a cheese scone.
A couple has just come in; she in a long dress. I don't know if it has been tailored to fit her but it does fit very well accentuating her narrow waist. She has long dark blonde hair tied back with an elegant lace bow.
He is wearing a shapeless dull green t-shirt and voluminous not quite black shorts.
Why won't men put a little effort into their outfit?
@22Michelle It's a very pleasant place. It used to be part of a big funfair. Immortalised in the Mark Knopfler/Dire Straits song "Tunnel of Love”.
Apparently it fell into disuse and disrepair and was threatened with demolition but common sense prevailed and at least the building was preserved and renovated.
@Boeing My latest tailoring effort was a few days ago when I made a skirt from a discarded umbrella I found in the street. No sewing though I made the waistband with brass eyelets and eyelet pliers.
@Boeing It's also extremely lightweight and packs into a very small space. Of course the light weight does mean that I have to hold it down if the wind blows!

I have a broken tartan umbrella in my car. I should get on and convert that one too.
Today's outfit is a skirt I bought yesterday in a South Shields charity shop for a pound. It's longer than I usually wear but it buttons up the front so I've undone the bottom button.
