I'm sitting in the Tesla showroom at Newbridge, outside Edinburgh, while my car charges for the trip to South Shields.
I should make a few notes about my visit to Buckhaven. As I may have mentioned in an earlier post i was greeted when I arrived by Chloe who immediately offered me a cup of tea which I accepted of course. She had to phone the owner to confirm my details. She later complained about this and I agree that she should have been provided with the means to check people in on her own. Still that probably won't be a problem for her much longer because she says she has had enough and will leave on Monday because she feels underpaid (only 50 GBP per day and she has to pay for the room she occupies) and overworked. The place has fourteen rooms plus kitchen and shower rooms and toilets and she is currently housekeeper, cleaner, and receptionist.
Yesterday evening when she told me she was leaving she also said had some clothes that she needed to get rid of as she doesn't wear them and won't have space when she moves out. So now I have several items of styles that I would not have chosen for myself, I feel grateful to be encouraged out of my comfortable rut. Pictures later, must check the car.
