Left the hotel at about 09:00. Now I'm at Rheged services west of Penrith. I've never stopped here before. I think I must have charged at Tebay last year on my way to Glenrothes.
The services here seem to be built into the side of the hill and it has shops, cinema, and other things too. It has a sort of Tebay air about it, the café is posher but has less food.
I've just read an article about the current Farage farago.
Wouldn't it make everyone's life simpler if instead of MPs having to register gifts that they receive that it be a condition of election that their entire financial life be made permanently public. Then there would be no need for parliamentary committees to investigate wrongdoing, the Inland Revenue would do it. That would make it harder for Farage and his like to whine that they were being unfairly treated and free MPs to get on with real parliamentary business.
Had a very leisurely drive to Glasgow once I got onto the M6. Got behind a big panel van set the cruise control to 5 mph above the speed I was actually doing and set the adaptive cruise spacing to the minimum to take advantage of a bit of slipstreaming. Got down to a 30 mile average of 155 Wh/mile for a while. :-)
Now I'm having a cup of tea at the Glasgow Tesla Centre while my car charges.
