@chubbysteve99 You can be, But what sort of brave did you mean? Brave enough to show off my cock when no one is looking? Or to walk around in the centre of a busy town in a crop top and miniskirt.
The first one was a bit easier for me than the second, after all the whole point is that no one sees.
It took me several years to go from dressing only when in my hotel room away from home on business to going everywhere in skirts of various lengths, getting my ears pierced and a few weeks ago getting my navel pierced.
The trick for me was to be very patient with myself. I took one very small step, then waited until it was just normal, then another small step, another wait, and so on. Sometimes the wait was months.
But in the end I understood that, at least where I live and travel, all the barriers were inside me not in the people around me. I have been out in public for at least five years now and have only had two trivial negative experiences.
I walked for hours around the centre of Wigan today and the few people who interacted with me were all either merely professional serving me coffee, beer, etc. or actively friendly like the woman I mentioned in today's non-naughty blog post who commented on my feet and accent.
I'm not really brave, I just did it slowly enough that it just became natural. And I've decided that as I was not a rebellious teenager I missed out on a lot of excitement, so I'm going to have some of it now before it's too late!
I hope that helps!
