In the Coffee and Crumbs café in the Parish Rooms by Saint Andrew's church, Kildwick.

Having a spinach and feta slice and an Americano.

Saint Andrew seems like to be Palestinian friendly and rainbow friendly too 🤭

That feta and spinach pie is very popular in Greece, it's one of our main breakfast foods...

And the Americano, thank God they invented it!!! 🩷

@Boeing It was good and the cafe is comfortable but it was a bit pricey. It was just short of 10 GBP (about 11.50 EUR).

Pretty much every cafe and charity shop has rainbow flags or banners here this month, June is Pride Month. This cafe is also part of a charitable effort.

As for Palestine, a lot of people in the UK are rather upset with how Israel is behaving.

Whats an Americano..I know coffee,but

@bookerdana Of course vit was simply an accident of history. Filter coffee (or in the past, coffee brewed in a pot on the stove) is the usual kind in Scandinavia too.

And if the bulk of the allied soldiers in Italy had been Brits or Poles perhaps it might have kickstarted some kind of tea drinking tradition. :-)

@ninalanyon My brother-in-law tells of a relative who asked for a "latte" in an Italian cafe. A genuine cafe in Italy that is, while he was on holiday there.

Then was baffled by the beverage having not a trace of coffee.

@ninalanyon Many great things start out an accident
